Not sure how many of you have experienced this issue occurred on Windows7 environment. The issue is been observed when trying to open any .pdf file on Adobe Acrobat reader and Adobe Reader not started or opened the selected .pdf file. Instead it displayed the following error message. It is also true that it was working earlier.
What is the error?

This problem mainly occurred on the 64-bit operating system machine where the 32-bit compatible application is installed. In our case, the Adobe Reader application is a clean 32-bit (x86) application that is installed on a 64-bit machine. The run time library MSVCR100.dll is detected as a faulty module that belongs to the c++ redistributable package located in Windows.

Solution:
Here are some troubleshooting steps that help to resolve this problem.
The solutions are provided in the priority order that is most expected to be work. If any of the steps did not work for you, then go into the subsequent step. In our case the Solution 1 is worked for us. Also, Solution 2 and 3 are not tried by the author and treat this as the suggestion to make clean installation once again.
Solution 1:
The below is the high-priority solution that should work the most. Please perform the below steps to solve this problem.

Navigate to the Adobe Reader installation folder. E.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\

Find the Eula.exe and run this application by mouse click.

The Eula.exe open the Distribution Licence Agreement window. Click on the Accept button.

Now run try opening any .pdf file on the Acrobat Reader. The file will be opened with out any error and happy reading.

Investigate further and analyze the currently installed c++ redistributable package. If you encounter any problem with the c++ redistributable package, which is already installed, we
would suggest reinstalling/repairing the package. You can download the C++ redistributable from the Microsoft website, which suits your target Windows operating system platform.
